The Museum was created in 1968 by the Willoughby Historical Society as an expression of pride felt….

Established in 1961, the NFHM is undergoing major renovations and expansion and is set to open to the public on July 21, 2012.  Featuring engaging and hands-on exhibitions on the history of Niagara Falls, this will be a great new facility for all.

The Legacy Project will make a mark for the benefit of future generations by renewing the Niagara Falls History Museum, improving access to Lundy’s Lane National Historic Site and provide an understanding of the unique history of the City of Niagara Falls, the War of 1812 and the Battle of Lundy’s Lane.
